Biography
The painted works of Chanterax are in my eyes a lively, luminous and joyful explosion of what the artist sees in his models. The colors that make up the paintings do not mix with each other, but together form a harmonious unity, a unique melody that radiates and catches the eye. The flat areas of bright colors vibrate and meander furrows far from being chosen at random by the artist.
Self-taught and above all working on instinct and feeling, Chanterax opts for Pop, the mischievous wink, the thoughtful and subtle choice in his way of highlighting his models. Curious and open to others, Chanterax illuminates her paintings with strength and vigor through the pure colors of acrylics and reveals what she discovers in each of her models.
Chanterax's painting is for me Paul Cézanne's phrase: “Sometimes I imagine colors as if they were living ideas, being pure reason to communicate”.
